Ann Bennett - The Orchard Wife

Ann Bennett - The Orchard Wife

Ann Bennett is a Health & Wellness advocate with a passion for real food, holistic health, and hormone balance. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ann grew up eating what was considered “healthy” by America’s nutrition standards—low-fat, processed, and calorie-conscious—until a pivotal shift in 2011 when she read The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. That book opened her eyes to a more natural approach to food and health and sparked a complete rethinking of how humans are meant to eat and live.

Ann’s homesteading journey officially began in 2013 with the classic gateway drug: chickens. What started as a desire for better food slowly grew into a lifestyle centered around intentional living, self-reliance, and reconnecting with natural rhythms.

In 2020, Ann began diving deep into the manufacturing processes behind seed oils and other ultra-processed food ingredients. As she read dozens of health books and immersed herself in health and nutrition podcasts, she became increasingly alarmed by the ways the modern food industry has shaped the American diet. What began as personal research quickly turned into conversations with family and friends as she shared what she was learning.

By 2024, Ann felt called to share publicly online with the intent of helping others make more informed, empowered food choices—no matter where they were starting from. Today, she encourages people to take meaningful, realistic steps toward better health through real food, homesteading skills, and a more intentional way of living.

Her Health & Homesteading talk is designed to be deeply encouraging and empowering, reminding attendees that you don’t need to do everything (or live on several acres of land) to reclaim your health and nourish your family well.
